Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the CaloriK app processes user information in VK Mini Apps, Telegram Mini Apps, the iOS app, and the Android app, including versions distributed through Apple App Store, Google Play, and RuStore.

1. Data We Process

The app may process data that the user sends to the service: text descriptions of meals, food photos, voice messages, and related information needed to calculate nutrition.

Depending on the platform, we may process VK, Telegram, Apple, Google, or RuStore account identifiers, session data, device information, app version, language, basic technical information about app operation, interface events, and service logs.

If the user gives permission, the app may access the camera, microphone, or photos only for the feature chosen by the user: recognizing a dish from a photo, recording voice, or uploading an image.

2. Google and Apple Sign-In

If the user signs in with Google or Apple, the app may receive data provided by that platform for authentication: a unique account identifier, name, email address, and, for Google, a profile image if available and permitted by the user.

This data is used only to create or sign in to a CaloriK account, synchronize user data, support security, and restore access. We do not use data received from Google or Apple for ad targeting and we do not sell it.

If the app uses Google API Services, the use and transfer of information received from Google are limited to the purposes described in this Policy and comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements where applicable.

If the user uses Sign in with Apple and chooses to hide their email, we may only see the relay address provided by Apple. When an account is deleted, we delete the related CaloriK data and, where applicable, revoke Apple or Google authorization tokens.

3. Why We Use Data

• to recognize foods and calculate approximate calories, macros, and food diary entries;
• to save history and usage limits;
• to maintain security, fix errors, and improve service quality;
• to analyze app operation using aggregated and anonymized data.

4. What We Do Not Do

• we do not sell users' personal data;
• we do not use nutrition data for ad targeting;
• we do not collect precise geolocation, contacts, SMS, call history, or the list of installed apps;
• we do not request additional Google scopes beyond the minimum required for sign-in unless separately disclosed to the user;
• we do not receive Apple Health, HealthKit, Google Fit, or Health Connect data unless such integration is separately enabled and described in the app;
• we do not request camera, microphone, or photo access without a user action and system permission.

5. Anonymized Data

We may use anonymized and aggregated data about app operation, such as the number of requests, types of features used, and general error statistics. This data is not intended to identify a specific user.

6. Sharing With Third Parties

Data may be shared with infrastructure, analytics, authorization, payment, and text, image, or audio processing providers only to the extent necessary for app features to work, and when required by law.

We expect such providers to apply comparable data protection measures and use data only to provide the relevant services.

7. Platforms and App Stores

CaloriK may be available through VK, Telegram, Apple App Store, Google Play, and RuStore. These platforms may independently process user data under their own rules, including authentication, store analytics, payments, subscriptions, refunds, reviews, crash reports, and abuse prevention.

Payments and subscriptions may be processed by VK, Telegram, Apple, Google, RuStore, or another payment provider. We do not receive full bank card details.

8. Permissions and Consent

The user may refuse or revoke system permissions for camera, microphone, photos, notifications, and other features in device or platform settings. Some app features may be unavailable in that case.

If separate consent for data processing is required on a platform, it is requested in the app interface or through platform tools.

9. Storage and Deletion

Data is stored as long as necessary for app operation, obligations, security, abuse prevention, and applicable requirements.

The user may stop using the app or request deletion of the account and related data on the Data Deletion page. The user may also contact us through the vk.com/calorik community.

Some technical records may be retained temporarily after deletion if needed for security, fraud prevention, accounting, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.

10. Security

We use reasonable organizational and technical measures to protect data. However, no method of transmitting or storing data on the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11. Children

The app is not intended for children under 13. If we learn that such data was provided without the necessary consent of a legal representative, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy. The new version becomes effective when published on this page unless stated otherwise.
